DMC8000 & DMC6000 (2015-27Q)

Course Overview

This course will provide participants with an understanding and knowledge of the DMC8000 and Newly released DMC6000. 

Who should attend

Cummins Service Technicians, Distributor DFSE, Commissioning Engineers, Customer Technicians / Service Personnel.

Students who have completed the Qualifications stated in the pre-requisites. 

Course Objectives

Become familiar with the design changes, functions, and operation of the DMC8000/6000 control system their integration and their associated systems. Be capable of troubleshooting and repair of the system using approved tools and service procedures. Demonstrate competency in locating the latest diagnostic and repair procedures on QuickServe Online.

Course Content

DMC8000 and 6000 design and Integration.

Panel Layout and Integration

PLC Operation, Load Operation and Control, Generator Control and Interface.

Communications – Modbus, Ethernet, Canbus

HMI – Operation, Configuration, Customisation

ICWD – Interconnect Wiring Diagrams – Review and Understanding

Troubleshooting – Software Use and integration

Qualification:

Demonstration and Practical Hands-on elements are included in this training using the above software

This course includes a written test and hands-on proficiency testing (Qualification). To allow the Student to demonstrate their learning and knowledge of this product.

Practical Assessments will only be conducted in the classroom, RILT (Remote Instructor Lead Training) will NOT provide a full Qualification.

Pre-requisites

Mandatory

2016-74Q – Paralleling 1 & 2 - mandatory - 5 days

2013-11Q - PC3.3 Qualification, (2000-19Q – PCC3200/3201, 2002-44Q - PCC3100) - At least one PCC course is mandatory - 5 days

2015-21Q – Networks 2

2018-15Q – NFPA70E for Cummins personnel only

Software and Hardware Requirements:

Inpower Pro

Active “D” Admin Account (Needs to be requested and authorised in advance of course)

From the Software shelf – Packaged software bundle for the DMC8000 (includes: *Indusoft, *Unity Loader, **Unity Diff)

If not included – *Unity Pro XL (this may be added into the bundle at some point)

*Required to support the product. Indusoft will need to be licensed in advance.
